The BERLIN Sleeping Car travels by being added to Amtrak
trains.
Amtrak Routes Map gives you an idea of the possible train destinations to consider when planning itinerary. The
BERLIN SLEEPING CAR may be chartered by a family, group of friends, corporate travel or any combination. When you charter
private railcar, you create your own railcar travel accommodations and destinations.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to stay in a private railroad car inside
the world famous Grand Central Terminal. Join the BERLIN as we travel behind
Amtrak Train #: 48,
Lake Shore Limited , along the famed Water Level Route of the New York Central.
NOTE 1:Passengers stay overnight May 8, 2013 at a hotel of choice before re-joining the BERLIN in GCT Friday evening May 9, 2013.
NOTE 2: Passengers will have limited access to their rooms during hours when the BERLIN will be open for VIP, press and public tours.
In observance of the Grand Central Terminal's 100th Anniversary, Metro North Railroad, our
host for the Centennial Parade of Trains weekend celebration, has invited
several private cars to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event.Having our
private cars open for press, VIP and public viewing is a Metro North mandated
prerequisite for participation. Also, Amtrak does not allow occupied parking of
private cars in busy Sunnyside Yard. Therefore, even though we would love to have
our passengers have unlimited access to the BERLIN at all times, this is just
not possible.Passengers must make hotel arrangements on their own for the
evenings of May 8 and May 12 (See listing of suggested hotels below).Thank you
for your understanding.
