The Cruising By Rail Cowboy Limited will leave
Tucson Arizona on May 9th
Interchange Connecting Departure from
San Antonio Train Station in
San Antonio, Texas on May 11th and overnight to
Chicago, Illinois.
We will depart
Chicago Union Station on the 12th arriving in
Omaha, Nebraska that night. Initial plans call for an
early morning departure from Omaha May 15th, with arrival in
Cheyenne, WY that night.
Cheyenne Depot Days run from the 16th through the 19th and include
Wyoming Transportation Museum with many railroad-related events and exhibits. Designated
as a National Historic Landmark, the former Union Pacific Depot in Cheyenne has been restored to its original glory. The Depot features the
Cheyenne Depot Museum, rich with railroad history, exhibits and interactive displays.
May 17 and 18 are
AAPRCO meeting days. Departure from Cheyenne will be Sunday morning, May 19 at 7:00 am and the train would
travel to
North Platte, Nebraska, where it would park for the night.
Departure from North Platte would be Monday morning May 20th,
with arrival at
Kansas City, MO later that afternoon for Interchange Depature on May 21st. We will return through Los Angeles, Ca arrival at Union Station for interchange on May 23th and arrive in Tusson, AR on May 25th.
The Cruising By Rail has 4 railcar for today's comfort in lavish interior decor.
Guests will experience 5-star concierge service from two experienced crew members who ensures proper operation of the car's systems, with well attentive personal service.

Sherman Hill Model Railroad Show
Cost: $5 Museum Admission for 13 and older
The event will be run in conjunction with the annual Sherman Hill Model Railroad Show at the events center on Lincolnway. The Union Pacific Steam Shop has graciously agreed to be open to allow viewing of the roundhouse and Steam Shop. The Car 57 restoration project will be holding an open house in our far west parking lot will be open for viewing as well. A Visit Cheyenne trolley is planned to escort people to and from all of the locations with departures scheduled every 20 minutes. Model train displays, railroad art, and vendors will occupy the Depot lobby.
On display in the museum is our railroad art competition with artists competing for prize money and the opportunity for their work to become the foundation of the permanent railroad art exhibit in the Cheyenne Depot Museum.
The Cheyenne Depot Museum will be selling tickets for a Steam Train Excursion on July 22nd bringing passengers from Denver to Cheyenne on a one-way trip. Busses will be available to shuttle local residents from Cheyenne to Denver and Denver area residents back south after the arrival in Cheyenne.
