A visit to the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum is your special ticket to the past when railroads were shaping the destiny of the country. Turn back the clock forty or more years as you ride one of our historic trains consisting of passenger cars built between 1910 and 1950 pulled by early, first generation diesel electric locomotives. The golden age of railroading and the rich heritage of the people who built and operated them come together at the Heart of Dixie Railroad Museum. Discover the pleasure and gentle excitement of the local passenger train when it was small-town America's link with the world.
