MONTANA STATE RAILWAY MUSEUMS
|
Address: 1367 US Hwy 2 South, Libby, MONTANA, 59923 USA. Tel.: 406293-7521 The Heritage Museum, while not a single purpose railroad museum, is developing a rail program to research, record and commemorate local and NW logging railroad heritage. We will have our historic 1906 J. Neils #4 logging Shay #1643 operating by its centennial on 8 March 2007. We acquired, moved to our railyard and partially refurbished the historic J. Neils Lumber Co. locomotive shed to use as a repair facility for our beloved "Old Four Spot". Contributions to this historic project are graciously received. |
Address: 112 East Orgain Avenue, Wibaux, MONTANA, 59353 USA. Tel.: (406) 796-6455 While we are not just a Railroad Museum, we have numerous Railroad artifacts. Not the least of which are, one of the Montana Centennial Train Cars which presently holds all of our RR artifacts; and we are working on a BN caboose (originally CB&Q). The caboose may become our home for our Railroad displays. We are the Wibaux, Montana Museum. We are quite aware here that this town owes its existence to the NP. |
