IN THIS ISSUE: Seattle, Washington Ballard UP-Terminal To Review Proposal for Coach Yard

May 10, 2006

ATD LINES Railway Business Car Services, representative Louis Alloin, speaks with Seattle City Council Member Jean Godden and Daivid Della, concerning Proposed UP-Ballard Coach Yard Station. The dialog was based on what requirements the City of Seattle would require for private railcar stationing operations in Ballard, including the Port of Seattle pending site selection for 2006.

Since this was new business opportunity for Union Pacific Ballard Terminal Railroad, would require some reviews, but Jean Godden and David Della did not see any foreseeable restriction or applied city ordinance being imposed. As the project was still in early stages of development and that Railway Coach Yard Stationing was new business territory.

In preliminary business communication with Up-Ballard Terminal Assistance Manager, the idea of placing private railway coaches in Ballard was exciting business news and appeared to have potential to increase rail traffic and business opportunity to the community railway commercialization.

All that is required now is UP-Ballard Terminal Railway is to provide selected site information for listing in ATD LINES Coach Yard Directory.
