Information provided on this page concerning Washington State Kelso-Longview National Train Day 2012, is intended for event development, planning dialogue, discussion to clarify programs proposed, provide educational materials and to foster public interest from business community and interested citizens to join the "Planning Committee". Along with providing event information that is proposed, to allow interested parties who wish to provide "Exhibits and Displays" the opportunity to plan and become involved in the pre-planning process and prepare for this magnificent event. Organizational Leadership is important, cooperation from civic leaders is also important, as well as the Business Community to recognize, support and sponsor this magnificent public event.

Washington State Kelso-Longview National Train Day 2012 Planning Committee Membership is the means by which citizens, merchants, businesses, civic leaders and industry can make a difference in our communities, neighborhoods, cities and towns to bring renewed interest in our rail transportation system.

Please take the opportunity to become involved in this event, by sharing your ideals, encourage our civic leaders to foster the necessary leadership and from community individuals to take the opportunity to participate in planning committee membership to creating an event that will benefit our community.

WASHINGTON STATE NATIONAL TRAIN DAY MISSION STATEMENT

Washington State National Train Day Association herein establishes Statewide Rail Line Community National Train Day Events, under the National Train Day Resolution established goals that contribute to enrichment of rail line communities of Washington State toward our mission and organizational development:

  • To use Washington State National Train Day Association to promote increase knowledge and understanding of Washington State rail line community, as in railway arts, literature, culture and railway transportation importance to our economy, including our connection to National Railway System;

  • To use Washington State National Train Day Association to develop a "Awareness of Washington State Rail Line Communities" and importances of passenger and freight services throughout Washington State Rail Line Communities;

  • To use Washington State National Train Day Association to expand all Rail Line Communities National Train Day Events in Washington State by: education, citizens awareness, business opportunities, technical research applications and mutual understandings within our local, regional, national and private railway servives.

  • To build upon a framework of past and present technological advancements towards achieving a better environmental utilization of our railways that benefits each citizen's requirements for transportation needs in a green environment less dependent on fossil fuels thru National Train Day Celebration in Washington State.

    WASHINGTON STATE NATIONAL TRAIN DAY ASSOCIATION, is seeking Kelso-Longview citizens & Washington State residents, business professionals, merchants, railway personnel and other qualified citizens, to take a chair, as community advisers, who will elect representatives to chair the "KELSO-LONGVIEW NATIONAL TRAIN DAY COMMITTEE" and participate in preparations, organization and planning for the "KELSO-LONGVIEW TRAIN DAY CELEBRATION"

Celebrate with the citizen of Kelso-Longview how modern railway transportation has transformed this city and recognize the men and women who have contributed to its progress.     TO SUSTAIN KELSO-LONGVIEW'S RAILWAY HERITAGE & FUTURE ADVANTAGES,must continue to invest in Kelso-Longview's, Lewis County and improve all rail line communities in Washington's railway transportation systems. By enhancing existing rail line community tracks, rail yard, locomotives, freight and passenger railcars, with connecting transit centers to highways, waterways, and airports, to improve fuel-efficiency and locomotive emissions reduction. The City of Kelso-Longview, Lewis County, Washington has the determination to foster railway programs and services to work towards improving all kinds of railway commerce, protecting the city's environment, and furthering State of Washington railway economy.

    AS PART OF KELSO-LONGVIEW'S RAILWAY EFFORTS,the city has announced initiative to reverse the growing dependence on oil by developing all transportation technology and services (including railway services). To produce commercially accepted bio fuels, encourage the development hydrogen fuel cells, to power the new generation of automobiles and trucks with no air pollution emissions. The City's new policy commitment make railway transportation possible for new and emerging business opportunities to be recognized, that allow the citizens of Kelso-Longview great flexibility in freight and passenger choices, methods and vehicles of transportation, whether by engineering design of automobiles, passenger ship and boats, airplane or railway services.
