Chemult fromerly named known as "Knott" was established in 1924 as a station on the Southern Pacific Cascade Line opening in 1926, along ith a post offic. Chemult name comes from one of the 26 Klamath chief who signed the Klamath Lake Treaty of October 14, 1864

Eugene is located at the south end of the Willamette Valley, near the confluence of the McKenzie and Willamette rivers, about 50 miles/80 km/ east of the Oregon Coast.

Oregon City was established in 1829 by the Hudson's Bay Company, in 1844 it became the first U.S. city west of the Rocky Mountains to be incorporated. Oregon City area provided a rich environment that allowed Native Americans to settle in the river's basin as early as 10,000 years ago.
