The BRP Magat Salamat PS-20 was recommission on December 28, 2021, and was used as a temporary command post for the duration of the emergency relief operations in the Dinagat Islands which were severely devastated by Typhoon Odette. U.S. Indo-Pacific Command

Bainbridge Island has an Exciting American Heritage Historical Military Landmark History, especial during World War II.

Bainbridge Island was the Military Home to:

1). United State Navy Radio Station (NPC "S"),
2). US Army Anti-Aircraft Artillery Camp, (Battery B),
3) Winslow Marine Railway And Shipbuilding Company (Former Hall Brothers)

Bainbridge Islanders have an opportunity to bring home a piece of WWII Island History, where island residents came to aid of our Nation's Call To Duty, to build US Naval Minesweepers.

Fort Ward Amateur Radio Club/FWARC, in conjunction with National Naval Museum Ship Program, to bring home the USS GAYETY AM-239, which has serviced a gallant tour of duty and impressive 77 year of Naval Service History under the flag of 3 Nations:

1). US Navy,
2). South Vietnam Navy,
3). Philippine Navy.

Fwarc believe that it is time for the USS Gayety AM-239 to reunite with Bainbridge Island Community and become part of Bainbridge Island Heritage History, as a "Naval Museum Ship in Motion".

Becoming a proud part Bainbridge Island Naval Heritage Historical Tours, welcoming visitors from around the world, to tour Bainbridge Island Built ship and possibly experience a shake down cruse around Bainbridge Island Seaports Communities.

USS Gayety Am-239 will also be part of Fwarc Historical Amateur Radio Station to operate the Ship Radio Station to host Amateur radio operators from around the world.
